I have always been a maker and builder. Always doing something new and challenging myself to learn new things and putting the learnings to practice.
And with building, I don’t only mean a product or service. It has been that too, but I have been building also a lot of teams, built businesses around new services from scratch, built whole organizations in multi-national operations, built partnerships with the biggest technology companies in the world, built sustainability practice from zero when it wasn’t yet a hype, and built communities with thousands of members across different countries. I have even been publicly recognized by some of these actions, but I have never thought that I have been building things alone or to my own benefit. I have always had great teams and great colleagues around me. And contributing to the communities has given me back in far greater return to what I have invested in.
My growth mindset and can-do attitude has now brought me here: as a Co-Founder of Elexive, where I will be assuming the role of Executive Chair.
How the Road Took Me Here?
For the past two decades, I have been in quite many different roles of building, selling, managing and leading different kinds of services in consultancy – specifically the last over a decade everything with Cloud services and past few years, AI. It has given me a unique position to work with vast number of clients helping them to do strategically good decisions. These customers have been from quite the different business verticals as well. I’ve worked with the front row brands in the Nordics from industrial sector, financial and insurance sector, retail, media and gaming, just to name some of the most common ones where I’ve worked closely.
More detailed work history is of course visible in my Linkedin profile, so I’m not going to spend my time here going to the weeds. Let’s just say that I have been around the block. A few times.
While working with the customers – which I dearly like to do, because it keeps you grounded in reality – I have been part of running the business and operations of Managed Service Provider business. The service business is something that I know a thing or two about and is one of the reasons why my next step is starting to form like it is.
Founding Elexive
One of the key moments that led me to founding this company was my time at Aalto EE, where I completed my Executive MBA degree in the end of 2023. Looking back, one of the most valuable aspects of that experience was the opportunity to test my ideas and benchmark my performance against top business leaders across the Nordics and Europe—an experience that shaped my perspective in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
That is also the venue, which brought me initially together with my co-founder, Henri.
Since spent my time and focus on the business studies, it was apparent to me that my ambitions are not to remain any longer only on technical roles. So I began my transition to more commercial responsibilities, while still keeping some of the technical parts as well.
That journey has now brought me to Elexive, where we bridge the gap between strategy and technology, helping companies scale without getting bogged down by complexity.
Why Elexive?
There comes a time when one needs to take decisive action on their own future. And as I started this story, I have always identified as a maker and a builder. But most of my career I had been doing it for others. And there is absolutely no shame in that. It’s just that right now, there was the time and the opportunity to figure out, what other things I want to still pursue and see if I have what it takes to make it on the hard path of building a startup. Being a builder and maker for me, and my co-founder.
And believe me, when I say that I spoke to several dozens of startup founders and entrepreneurs. Not one of them said that it’s going to be easy. But everyone of them said, that they never looked back and regretted going down that path. So the decision was unfolding quite quickly after the idea had first manifested. This is something that I want to do. Or maybe even something I absolutely need to do, before I feel it’s too late.
So, we are now at the brink of our launch. I am feeling confident that we are building something, that people need. And also something that they want.
I am not looking back on my decision to take this path. This is going to be an adventure and whatever it brings, I will survive it and be one more experience richer to tell the tale. I hope the tale will be a good one – but if not, it’s going to be worth telling nevertheless!
See you on the other side – I hope you consider us as a partner, if you feel that what we do would be valuable for you. Let me know.
Let’s Connect
Elexive is for leaders who refuse to settle for the usual playbook. If that resonates with you, let’s talk. I’m always up for a conversation about strategy, leadership, and what’s coming next.
